Marin Magazine Tastemakers 2015

The February issue is an exciting one here at Marin Magazine. Why, you may ask? Well, it's our annual Tastemakers feature. If you recall from past issues, we go out and pick our favorite foods from restuarants here in Marin and get the chef's picks, too:

Breakfast: Chef Ged Robertson, owner of Mill Valley's Shoreline Coffee Shop said his favorite breakfast spot is at the Civic Center's farmers' market on Sundays.

Lunch: Chef Douglas Bernstein of Fish in Sausalito said his favorite place to grab some lunch is anything on Shoreline in Mill Valley.

Bar Bites: Scott Whitman, famed sushi chef at Sushi Ran, said it's a tie between Mill Valley Beerworks and Farmshop for delectable bar bites.

Dinner: Chef Benjamin Balesteri, chef of Sausalito's Poggio, said he is a big fan of the wood-grilled Wolf Ranch quail with bacon and chard stuffing, toasted faro, wilted spinach and vadouvan at Picco in Larkspur

Dessert: Christian Caiazzo, executive chef of West Marin's Osteria Stellina, said his favorite dessert is the creme brulee or chocolate mousee at Left Bank.

Cocktails: Chef Joanne Weir of Copita said her favorite cocktail is The Lorenzo at Copita.
