10th Annual Sausalito Gingerbread House Tour

This Sausalito tradition sweetens up the holiday circuit.

Now in its tenth year, the Sausalito Gingerbread House Tour and Competition sponsored by the Sausalito Chamber of Commerce is a visual delight and a terrific excuse to wander the streets of Sausalito, shopping and sipping along the way! A record-breaking 36 businesses are participating in the tour this year – restaurants and retail shops, professional business offices and local attractions like the Bay Model – all competing for coveted awards.

The sugary and often highly creative confections will be on display through the end of December. Tour maps may be downloaded at sausalitogingerbread.com/tourmap/ or secured from participating businesses.

With gumdrops, icing and candy canes galore, the gingerbread houses are located throughout Sausalito -- in Old Town, downtown, Caledonia Street and the north end of town. You won’t get to taste or touch these culinary creations, but you’ll get to marvel at their design – the artful, the homemade, as well as the professionally-baked-by-a-pastry-chef versions. A great holiday outing for the whole family and especially fun for kids, Sausalito’s Gingerbread House Tour will get even the most certifiable “bah-humbug” into the spirit of the season. Especially if you have an eggnog or hot mulled wine along the way!
