San Francisco Ballet "Nutcracker"



Responsible for around forty percent of annual venue in ballet companies throughout North America, The Nutcracker has been a must-see production for decades. Originally choreographed by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov with a score by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, it has gone on to become one of Tchaikovsky's most famous compositions. In San Francisco, audiences have been mesmerized with The Nutcracker since it premiered on Christmas Eve 1944 at the War Memorial Opera House.
