Mill Valley Chamber Music Society

It seems in the modern world of music Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift take the stage over Yo-Yo Ma and Mozart. I seldom hear of anyone going to a classical concert, and when I do, they get a double take. For anyone uneducated in the vast genre of classical music, there is a chance to expand your horizons here in Marin.

This Sunday, head over to the Mount Tamalpais United Methodists Church to see well acclaimed European artists Nicolas Altstaedt and Alexander Lonquich. Both have won several international competitions and performed throughout Europe and the United States. The program will include Debussy, Nadia Boulanger, Ludwig Beethoven, Anton Webern and Rachmaninoff.

If You Go:

When: February 28, 2015 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Where: Mount Tamalpais United Methodist Church 410 Sycamore Ave. in Mill Valley

Cost: $18 to $35
