Beartrek Film at Smith Rafael Film Center

With the Rafael Film Center’s Science on Screen program, you can view an exciting presentation about the race to save bear species around the world, while you passively helping to fund those protection efforts. All proceeds from the documentary, Beartrek, will go to fund bear conservation programs – some of which are shown in the movie.

The film follows adventurer, bear ecologist and filmmaker Chris Morgan to some of the more remote places on Earth to find rare bear species and examine what is being done to protect them. Morgan rides his motorcycle to remote areas in Borneo, Peru, Alaska and the Arctic to uncover this compelling story of protection. This will be a multimedia presentation of the screen footage from previous bear expeditions combined with clips from the forthcoming documentary film. Morgan is the Executive Director of Wildlife Media, a non-profit conservation organization.
