San Francisco Chamber Players Come to Marin

This weekend, the world-class sounds of the San Francisco Chamber Players come to Marin at Dominican University’s Angelico Hall. The return of the chamber ensemble marks the start of Dominican’s Guest Concert Series, now in its 14th season. Fun fact: the principal members have all performed around the world as soloists and leading orchestra and chamber musicians, and formed this ensemble based on being long-time friends and colleagues.

The Chamber Players include Dan Carlson, Acting Principal Second Violinist of the San Francisco Symphony; Joy Fellows, Assistant Principal Violist of the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra; Peter Wyrick of Mill Valley, Associate Principal Cellist of the San Francisco Symphony; and pianist June Choi Oh, a Corte Madera resident and chair of Dominican University’s Dept. of Music, Dance and Performing Arts. They are set to perform Mozart's Sonata for Piano and Violin in E Minor, K. 303; Schubert's String Trio in B Flat Major, D. 471; Brahm's Sonata for Viola and Piano, Op. 120, No. 1; and Piazzolla's Libertango. We think it is a nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
