SF Beer Week Opening Gala

Denizens of San Francisco, actually, the Bay Area — nay, Northern California — love beer. And not just any run of the mill cheap lite, we’re talking craft beer, the rarer and craftier, the better. Looking for proof? Here are hoards of people waiting in the rain for some. Last year I witnessed such a line firsthand and while talking disparagingly about the idiocy of it all I heard someone screaming my name — one of my friends was in the line. The shame. But don’t get me wrong! I, too, love beer, but am just not willing to wait hours for it. So if we’re of the same ilk, I suggest heading over to Pier 48 instead and checking out the SF Beer Week Opening Gala. The San Francisco Brewers Guild brings more than 125 breweries together this year including local favorites Iron Springs Pub & Brewery, Marin Brewing Co. and Moylan's Brewing Co. So stay dry (as in not damp), my friends. Hope to see you there.

If You Go:

When: Friday, February 10 from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Where: Pier 48

San Francisco, CA

Cost: $80 - $120

Tickets are available here.
