Fort Ross Festival

Bring your friends and family to the Sonoma Coast for the Fort Ross Festival. Fort Ross was home to diverse people across the centuries -- join in celebrating this diversity with a day of international flavors and cultures, enjoy live music, dance, take part in hands-on crafts for all ages, and go to town at the International Food Bazaar the Fort Ross Beer Garden. Some of the entertainment includes Americana act, The Bootleg Honeys and Slavyanka Chorus, who perform Russian sacred and folk music.

The third annual Beer Garden will include local breweries Lagunitas Brewing Company of Petaluma, Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. of Chico, Anchor Brewing of San Francisco. In honor of the Fort Ross historic orchard, Tilted Shed Ciderworks of Sebastopol has donated cider from their small batch, dry-farmed, organic, Sonoma County made, heritage apples. At the International Food Bazaar you’ll find an array of local vendors, fresh oysters, crab cakes and salmon burgers from Northwest Catering Company (Estero Cafe) of Valley Ford, traditional Russian borscht and piroshki from the brand new Russian House #1 in Jenner, to slow smoked BBQ with fresh coleslaw from BBQ Smokehouse Bistro & Catering, both Californian & European style crepes filled with sweet or savory options from Ultra Crepes, for a taste of India with Curry Sensations try their Punjabi Style Burritos, Chicken or Butternut Squash Curry Rice plates, or Fried Fish Pakora.

And if all of that food and drink and music doesn’t sound appealing to you, there are also plenty of crafts to try out. Come early as it’s going to be a challenge to squeeze it all in!
