California natives rejoice — Marin Organic is bringing surfer, bicyclist and Patagonia ambassador Dan Malloy to the Marin Country Mart this Saturday from 6–9 p.m. for a quick chat and a signing and accompanying film screening of his new book, Slow is Fast. The book revolves around what Malloy calls “a mini adventure in our own backyard”— two years ago, Malloy and friends Kellen Keene and Kanoa Zimmerman cycled 700 miles down California coast, stopping along the way for interviews, surf sessions and a deep look into how people live their lives in The Golden State. Comprised of poems, essays, photographs and interviews, Slow is Fast is a necessary tome for any coastal resident.
Guests will enjoy Belcampo sliders, beer from Lagunitas and an opportunity to meet some of the farmers and other subjects featured in the book.
