63rd Annual North Beach Festival
This weekend San Francisco’s Little Italy neighborhood will be featuring over 125 arts and crafts booths, food, two stages of live entertainment, Italian street painting, beverage gardens, kid’s chalk art area and the infamous blessing of the animals ceremony. New this year, Circus Bella will bring its popular one-ring circus to the North Beach Festival. Featuring static trapeze, rope walking, a 9-person juggling act, contortion, hula-hoop, original clowning and more, Circus Bella is sure to uplift and entertain the audience.
Now in its 63rd year the North Beach Festival is considered one of the country’s original outdoor festivals. Proceeds from the festival allow the North Beach Business Association to fund many neighborhood projects, including installation and maintenance of hanging flower baskets, sidewalk steam cleaning of businesses, holiday lighting of trees on Columbus Avenue, permanent aerial lighting on Grant Avenue, as well as providing financial support for neighborhood organizations.
