Union Street Spring Celebration

When you think of an annual event that gives you a chance to get creative and make something, Halloween is the obvious option. Easter – for example – traditionally conjures up images of bunnies, baskets, and long brunch lines. However, the Union Street Easter Parade and Spring Celebration blows those perceptions out of the water. The festivities include bounce houses, Easter egg tosses, climbing walls, and an Easter Bonnet Contest which everyone (including pets) is invited to take participate in. Best in Show, Best Couple, Best Family, Best Pet, Best Children, Best Merchant, Most Elegant, Largest Hat, Most Comical and Most Creative are all categories which will be judged, so basically whatever you dream up has a shot at a prize. If bonnet competitions aren’t your thing, no worries, there are plenty of other activities to keep you occupied. From pony rides and petting zoos to flash mobs and food, this unique gathering has something to keep everyone in the family content. And for the traditionalists out there, the Easter Bunny and pals will also be making the rounds.

If You Go:

When: Sunday, April 1 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: Union Street, From Gough to Fillmore San Francisco, CA
Cost: Free

Additional event information is available on our calendar here.
