Look West: Dave Eggers

What do you get when The New York Times meets San Francisco? The answer, at least this week, is Dave Eggers. The famed Bay Area author will be the first featured in Look West, a conversation series created by The New York Times, geared toward West Coasters and highlighting innovators in the arts, media and technology. The pioneers will join NYT reporters onstage for a bit of spirited discussion—Eggers, for example, will spend the evening chatting with The New York Times Book Review editor Pamela Paul.

“…Our new event series, in collaboration with Bank of the West, is the perfect way to bring these innovators together with our audiences throughout the Western U.S.,” said Yasmin Namini, SVP, chief consumer officer, The New York Times. “We’re looking forward to what promises to be a fantastic conversation with Dave Eggers and to announcing additional events in new Western cities in the months to come.”
