World-renowned chef Mario Batali has an impressive menu of accomplishments: in addition to his talent in the kitchen, Batali is an expert on the history and culture of Italian cuisine, a media personality, a restaurant owner (24, to be exact), the author of nine cookbooks and much more. So what’s next?
The answer is another cookbook. Batali’s America: Farm to Table is a celebration of American farmers and farming culture — how things are done, what efforts yield and how these fresh products get from the countryside to your plate. Batali includes personal stories from farmers favored by his fellow chefs, ensuring the proud culture of farming is mirrored throughout the book.
