Jeepers Jack-O-Lanterns

Want to test out or show off your artistic skills? We have the perfect outlet for you. Join ranger staff at Paradise Beach Park this Sunday to carve your own spooky Jack-O-Lantern for Halloween. All skill levels are welcome and no experience is necessary. While there will be a limited amount of pumpkins available, bringing your own is encouraged to make sure no one is short handed. Dress in layers as it is fall now, and wear sturdy shoes. Supplies, smocks and healthy snacks –– boring, we know, but trick-or-treating means you’ll have plenty of fun snacks –– will be provided and park entrance will be waived for participants. Unfortunately this is a pet-free event so leave Fido at home, unless he’s a service dog.

Kasia Pawlowska loves words. A native of Poland, Kasia moved to the States when she was seven. The San Francisco State University creative writing graduate went on to write for publications like the San Francisco Bay Guardian and KQED Arts among others prior to joining the Marin Magazine staff. Topics Kasia has covered include travel, trends, mushroom hunting, an award-winning series on social media addiction and loads of other random things. When she’s not busy blogging or researching and writing articles, she’s either at home writing postcards and reading or going to shows. Recently, Kasia has been trying to branch out and diversify, ie: use different emojis. Her quest for the perfect chip is never-ending.
