Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival

Are you a bluegrass fan? Great. Does bluegrass not even register on your radar? Still fine. The free annual festival has been attracting acts across genres in the 17 years it’s been around, featuring everyone from the Mother Hips to Gogol Bordello on their stages. This year, Courtney Barnett, Kurt Vile, Emmylou Harris, Henry Rollins and many more are among the additions to the full lineup. Fans will also get a chance to experience a hit that was first featured last year: a silent disco. Starting at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, a sublime 2-channel silent disco musical affair in Arrow Meadow (near Bandwagon Stage and La Victrola Platform). Anyone who’s attended the festival over the years can attest to the fun that’s had and surprises in store, so it’s hard to imagine that this year will be different. Bring a blanket, food, drinks, friends, and settle in for a memorable weekend.
