Floating Homes Tour

All of the things I love doing in life, snooping is one of my favorites. I’ve been open about this interest in the past and am happy to announce that all of us will have a fantastic opportunity to do some “observering” this weekend. The 30th Annual Sausalito Floating Homes Tour is taking place which provides a rare insight into some of the most unique homes in the area. The tour is self guided and self paced, but there will be docents present from the houseboat community in each home and on the docks to assist you and answer any questions. Are you excited yet? You should be. You’ll get to see a variety of waterfront homes, like a gingerbread cottage, yellow A-frame chalet, and more. Kappas Green will be acting as the center for food and fun throughout the day with featured local musicians and an art show and sale. If you feel that haven’t had your fill at the end of the day, visit the Floating Home Association website for color photos of previous tours. Enjoy!

If You Go:

When: Saturday, September 12 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Where: Sausalito Floating Homes Community, Gate 6 Road

Cost: $40
