Maui Paddle For A Cure

Looking for an excuse to visit Hawaii? The fourth annual Maui Paddle for a Cure might be the answer. This non-competitive event presented by Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa, The Butterfly Effect and Maui Jim, is a fun way to take a stand against breast cancer. Spend the day in the surf and sun while paddling your vessel of choice along the beautiful shoreline of Ka’anapali Beach as a way to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

All proceeds raised will go to Susan G. Komen Hawaii – an outpost of the largest and best-funded breast cancer organization in the United States. Last year the event took in over $45,000 and this year organizers are hoping for an even larger number. Prizes for top fundraising individual and top fundraising team will also be given out. To continue the celebration, an exclusive after party and silent auction at Sunset Terrace at the Hyatt Regency Maui will be held.

“You can’t face cancer alone,” says Nancy La Joy, Executive Director of the Pacific Cancer Foundation. “It takes an ‘ohana, and that is what this community is.” Follow the event on social media with the hashtag #HyattPinkPaddle.
