World’s Largest Skiing Lesson

Do you know how to ski or snowboard? Is it something you always wanted to learn how to do and kept brushing it aside? Totally understandable and we’re not here to shame you. However, if you’re ready to start experiencing the rush that gliding across the snow brings, this weekend will get you ready. A mere 3 hour drive from Marin, (or one hour flight into Reno) Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows is participating in the World’s Largest Lesson on January 8 and it’s free for the first 50 guests to arrive. Organized by the Learn to Ski & Snowboard initiative, the World’s Largest Lesson will take place at ski resorts across the United States, setting the world record for the largest multi-venue ski and snowboard lesson ever taught, for inclusion in the Guinness Book of World Records. The Learn to Ski & Ride package (the one that’s free for the first 50 guests) includes a two hour lesson taught by professional instructors in small groups, plus lift ticket for the day and ski or snowboard equipment rental packages for adults and teens ages 13 and over. Can’t make it this weekend? No worries. The $59 Learn to Ski & Ride Special is offered Monday through Friday at Alpine Meadows for the entire month of January.
