The Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival has Lots to Offer This Summer, from Tragic Macbeth to Far Out, Marin Magazine

Looking to get away for a couple days? Pack up the family and road trip to Lake Tahoe for this Summer’s Shakespeare Festival. This year’s events consist of a series of showcase performances throughout the summer as well as two main stage productions:

Macbeth

This classic tale of tragedy tells of politics, power, and the fine line between a king and a tyrant. This season’s production even offers an immersive seating experience where you get to be a part of all the action on stage!

There’s also a matinee Young Shakespeare production of Macbeth most days, featuring some the area’s most talented middle and high school students tackling the famed play.

Beehive: The 60’s Musical

From Janis Joplin to Aretha Franklin, this show will

delight you with groovy looks and timeless music from the women of the 60’s. Singing and dancing is highly encouraged, so ditch the boob tube and put on your vintage best for some throwback fun for the whole family.

Check out their calendar to purchase tickets for any of these productions along with the weekly showcase series performances that range from a ballet performance of Midsummer Night’s Dream to an Elton John tribute. Whatever your taste, there’s something for everyone this summer at the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival.
