Whales in Maui

See and 'hear' the whales on Maui.

If you are heading to Hawaii this winter, don’t miss the whales. They show up around November and hang out through May.

For a truly unique outrigger experience, join Kevin Hoke and his crew for an hour of fun education on the waters off Wailea Beach. Kevin’s grandmother was the last pure Hawaiian to be raised in an isolated environment on the North Shore of Oahu and trained to become a leader and teacher of Hawaiian culture. Kevin is carrying on this traditional as he takes an ordinary turtle tour and turns it into a history, geography, cultural and meteorological adventure. And if you go during whale season – you will get to see and HEAR these gorgeous mammals.

FROM THE COMPANY…

Come join Hawaiian Outrigger Experience (H.O.E.) for amazing tours on a Traditional Outrigger Canoe! Experience a truly unique cultural tour as you learn the ancient art and sport of hoe wa'a (canoe paddling). Relive a part of traditional Hawaii as you learn about Honu (turtles), Kohola (whales) and other indigenous ocean life through Hawaiian legends, mythology and stories passed on through generations. As you glide along the ocean surface, feel the rhythm of the sea and experience all the glory, beauty and magnificence this island paradise has to offer. Pull your kids away from the pool (and your spouse away from the spa / golf course) and create a family memory that will last long after your tan fades. Your front row seat and eye level journey departs Wailea Beach on South Maui.
