BLAKE MARVIN A Family Dream House. Dallas-born Blake Marvin typically crisscrosses the globe, shooting fancy resorts in exotic locations, but calls the San Francisco Bay Area home. His images of buildings and places, often created with the use of drones, have aerial perspectives. His photographs of developer John Conomos’ wine country home on a vertiginous hillside lot facing a valley would have been nearly impossible to get just a few years ago.
MICHAL VENERA Eames Wonderland/ Michal Venera escaped communist Czechoslovakia, eventually landing in San Francisco; here, homeless and with nary a word of English, he got a job as a fisherman before becoming a professional photographer. For the last 25 years he has shot for multiple corporate clients such as Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware. He now lives with his son in a tugboat docked in Sausalito when he is not at his West Marin sheep ranch.
JOE FLETCHER A-Game in Muir Beach, The Barn & Beyond, Through the Looking Glass.
