Associate Editor Kasia Pawlowska loves words. A native of Poland, she arrived in States at age seven and quickly became known for sneaking off the grocery store to purchase magazines like Jane with change from her parents – mostly for quiz taking purposes. Her fascination with magazines persisted, and the San Francisco State University creative writing graduate went on to write for publications like the San Francisco Bay Guardian and KQED Arts among others prior to joining the Marin Magazine staff. Kasia’s diverse interests and curiosity are reflected in the Currents section of the magazine where she has covered topics ranging from bridge toll loopholes to cricket flour. When she’s not busy blogging or researching and writing articles, she’s either at home writing postcards and reading or out in the evenings enjoying the Bay Area music scene. Recently, Kasia has been trying to branch out and diversify, ie: use different emojis.
