Jennifer Egan is the author of several novels and a short story collection. Another fun fact about Egan? She was born in Chicago but grew up in San Francisco, where she attended Lowell High School. After high school Egan majored in English literature at the University of Pennsylvania and dated Steve Jobs, who installed a Macintosh computer in her bedroom.
