Mediterranean Holiday Bazaar

There’s been a shift in people’s attitudes toward holiday shopping in recent years and blowout Black Friday (or Thanksgiving Day) sales are receiving a bit of a pushback. Outdoor adventure-giant REI has announced that they will be paying their employees to not work on the shop-til-you-drop-cause-someone-trampled-you extravaganza, and the rising popularity and amount of craft fairs in the Bay Area speaks to the rising interest in and appreciation for unique, hand-crafted gifts. Now, Novato’s Nativity of Christ Greek Orthodox Church will serve as the venue for Marin’s newest fair –– the 1st annual Mediterranean Holiday Bazaar. The event will be held in the same venue as the Marin Greek Festival and will showcase over 30 local Bay Area Artisans. Among the items available for purchase will be assortment of bags and pouches from Ice Poppy as well as many other fine goods made by our neighbors.

Parking will be aplenty at this two day event and a portion of the proceeds will go to Hospice of Marin and other philanthropic groups. Be sure to try out the homemade soups, salads and Greek pastries!
