The Norcal Dog Surfing event and World Championships for Dog Surfing will be taking place in Pacifica this Saturday. During the event there will be a number of activities including the surf competition, pet wellness fair, mobile pet adoptions, a dog fashion and costume contest, and more. Awards and prizes will be presented to first, second, and third placeholders for each competition category, which include small, medium and large dog, as well as tandem and others. This event is not only for sport and for fun, it also supports great causes. Help local charities raise money by sponsoring a contestant or a team — a portion of the proceeds of this event go to dog, surfing and environmental non-profits.
