SF Maritime Beer Fest

Come out to Pier 45 — the home of the USS Pampanito World War II submarine in the heart of Fisherman’s Wharf —for the annual Beer Fest on Friday, May 10. There will be a selection of beer tastings from some of the best craft brewers in the world as well as music by DJ Tim Martinez. A general admission ticket includes unlimited beer tastings, entertainment, as well as a souvenir tasting mug.

 

3rd Annual WAG Dog Festival

The City of Sausalito Parks and Recreation Department presents their 3rd WAG Dog Festival in Gabrielson Park on 750 Bridgeway, Sausalito. At 12 p.m, there will be a police dog demonstration by the Novato Police Department. Vendors have contributed to a raffle and tickets are only $1. It’s free to all humans and dogs alike and is sure to be a doggone good time.

 

A dog show will commence with the categories of:

  • 10:30 a.m. – Best Costume
  • 11 a.m. – Best Wag
  • 11:30 a.m. – Best Trick
  • 1 p.m. – Best Owner/Dog Look-a-like
  • 1:30 p.m. – Best Bark
  • 2 p.m. – Best Body Part

 

Marin Open Studios

Haven’t had the time to check out Marin Open Studios yet? Fortunately you still have a chance — the 26th annual event is wrapping up this Sunday, May 12, giving eager art aficionados an opportunity to check out work from the 270 participating artists. Since its inception the organization has been dedicated to helping the visual arts flourish in Marin County and is one of the first open studio programs in the San Francisco Bay Area with a long legacy of connecting artists to the communities where they live and work.

 

Musica Marin: Taste of Spain

Join Musica Marin’s for its Taste of Spain Concert featuring classically trained harpist Krista Strader, renowned flutist Debora Harris and Musica Marin founder and violist Ruth Kahn performing Spanish compositions and the Debussy Trio for flute, harp and viola. The event will include Spanish wines and lavish food, such as traditional Valencia paella, tapas and pintxos prepared by “Best of the Bay” Chef Mark Furr. This intimate musical experience will be held in a private home in Belvedere with sweeping views on Saturday, May, 11th from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. A pre-event meet and greet is also available starting at 2:30, and includes VIP seating, Cava and caviar.
