Elizabeth Gilbert Writing Workshop

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past 10 years, you’ve heard about Elizabeth Gilbert. The author published Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman’s Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia, in 2006 to much acclaim and the memoir has a remarkable run on the New York Times Bestseller List: after 88 weeks, the book was still on the list at number two. She was named amongst Time 100 most influential people in the world, and her book was optioned for a film with starred Julia Roberts as Gilbert.

Now, Gilbert is making her way to California. Join her for a day-long workshop which will include a gourmet lunch, writing prompts, talk, book signing/wine reception, and more. Marin County poet, writer, and speaker Albert Flynn DeSilver and BrilliantWriter.com are excited to present Gilbert who is coming to Napa, California for an exclusive writing event and book signing, celebrating the release of her new book Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear. Kasia Pawlowska loves words. A native of Poland, Kasia moved to the States when she was seven. The San Francisco State University creative writing graduate went on to write for publications like the San Francisco Bay Guardian and KQED Arts among others prior to joining the Marin Magazine staff. Topics Kasia has covered include travel, trends, mushroom hunting, an award-winning series on social media addiction and loads of other random things. When she’s not busy blogging or researching and writing articles, she’s either at home writing postcards and reading or going to shows. Recently, Kasia has been trying to branch out and diversify, ie: use different emojis. Her quest for the perfect chip is never-ending.
