The Sausalito Film Festival is back for fifth year, this weekend May 17-19! 2013's lineup features topics ranging from environmentalism to North Korea to the Sausalito houseboat riots of the 1960's. Needless to say, it's not to be missed.
This year, our sponsored film is Symphony of the Soil, Deborah Koons Garcia's ode to the miraculous substance that helps bring life to our planet. Filmed on four continents, the film features interviews with scientists, farmers and ranchers, providing an artistic and informative look at the nature of soil.
Symphony of the Soil will be showing on Sunday, May 19 at 2 p.m.
Blood Brother, 2011 Sundance Jury Prize Winner, will kick things off tomorrow night, preceded by a block party on Caledonia in front of the CineArts @ Marin Theater in Sausalito. Stop by for delicious food from local restaurants like Sushi Ran and Fast Food Francais. Tickets are available online.
Whatever your cinematic interests may be, you're sure to find something worth watching at the Sausalito Film Festival!
