A delegation of Marin County high school students will travel to Sakaide, Japan July 30- August 11 for a 10-day educational and cultural exchange as part of the Sausalito-Sakaide Sister City Program. The student exchange, now in its 25th year, has been a life-changing experience for Marin County kids who have participated. Students from Marin will be hosted by the City of Sakaide and living with Japanese host families so they are totally immersed in the culture with kids their own age. The cultural and educational experiences are wide-ranging, rich in character and truly memorable. Interested students and their families may find application and program materials on the Sausalito Sister Cities website (click on the Sakaide, Japan tab). Applications are due in early April.
