WildCare, currently located in downtown San Rafael, is heading two exits north and opening a new facility on Smith Ranch Road. The Marin County-based animal care facility works to make sure all species can coexist by treating sick or injured animals and also teaching people how to live peacefully with them.
This Friday WildCare is having a groundbreaking and tree planting ceremony at their new location. The event starts at 10 a.m., light refreshments provided, and the tree planting and groundbreaking ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m. WildCare is also holding a "sledge-fest" for anyone who wants to help them safely demolish parts of the buildings of their new home. This is a free event, but registration is required.
