Women's Sailing Seminar

Sailing is not a new transportation device –– it dates all the way back to ancient civilizations. There is evidence that Polynesian sailors navigated the sea in 1500 BC, using only the sun and stars to guide their way through the Pacific. Although their canoes are no longer used and there is a lot more technology to navigate, sailing is still very popular both recreationally and competitively, the Bay Area being a hotspot for sailing. Its location is both protected from serious ocean currents and windy enough making sailors flock to the area. The most recent World Cup was even held in the San Francisco Bay.

That being said, you do not have to be a wayfinder or World Cup worthy sailor to enjoy what the Bay has to offer. Ladies, this weekend you can learn how to sail. The Corinthian Yacht Club is hosting their annual women's sailing seminar. There will be both classroom and in the water instruction for a hands on learning experience.
