Drakes Bay Oyster Farm loses battle to stay open

U.S. Interior Secretary Ken Salazar on Thursday said he will shut down an the Drake's Bay Oyster Farm in the  Point Reyes National Seashore, designating the site as a wilderness area. Here's the full story.

The end of the oyster war — if this really is the end — is a blow to the Point Reyes ranching family of Kevin Lunny, whose father raises organic beef on the historic G Ranch and who took over the what was then the Johnson’s Oyster Company a fgew years ago with the hope of continuing the operation on Drake's Estero.
