How Marin Businesses Are Helping Those Affected by the Los Angeles Fires

Here in Northern California, we’re well aware of the horrible destruction caused by wildfires. With multiple wildfires displacing thousands of our neighbors in Los Angeles, creating severe damage in its wake, many Marin businesses have stepped up and tried to find ways to support those in need. From fundraisers to free services, here are some ways our community is helping and how you might be able to help, too.

Farmhouse Lab Fundraiser

Through January

Based in the Bay Area, Farmhouse Local sells small-batch Real Food Dressings and will be donating 20% of all online sales to the LA Food Bank.

Caroline Pacula Prints Fundraiser

Through January

Locally based photographer Caroline Pacula is donating 100% of net profit from all photography print sales through the end of January.

Amici’s East Coast Pizzeria Fundraiser

Through January

Eating at Amici’s East Coast Pizzeria through the end of January means 15% of your purchase will go to the LA Fire Department Foundation.

Marin Humane Animal Relief

Ongoing

Marine Humane has already taken in 46 animals from Southern California, and will continue to take in animals from Los Angeles animal shelters in order to help free up space there for the critters displaced by the fires. They are also sending some of their staff to help at Pasadena Humane with animal care, staffing, pet rescue and reunification. Additional resources and ways you can contribute are listed on their website.

Bo Ridge Clothing Company Fundraiser

Ongoing

Based in Marin County, local clothing company Bo Ridge Clothing is donating 100% of proceeds made from their California collection to the Red Cross.

Los Angeles Family Album Recreation Project Photography Sessions

To ease the hardship of losing family memories and photos in the fires, photographers are banding together to offer free photography sessions for affected families. Interested in joining the effort? Fill out the form linked above.
