Side by Side’s Reach for the Stars Denim & Diamonds Gala returned on September 19, which successfully raised $130,000 for their behavioral and mental health services that aid nearly 1,800 youth and their families across the greater Bay Area.
The event was hosted at the Bill & Adele Jonas Center on College of Marin’s Indian Valley campus, with 140 guests all wearing their best on-theme Denim & Diamonds attire. Among the crowd were a few notable attendees: District 2 Supervisor Brian Colbert; San Anselmo Mayor Tarrell Kullaway; San Anselmo Vice Mayor Steven Burdo; San Anselmo Town Council Member Chantel Walker; Bank of Marin‘s CEO Tim Myers; and Emmy Award-winning TV Host Liam Mayclem.
Signature cocktails and a seated dinner catered by Classic Culinaire fueled the night’s activities, which included raffles, live auctions hosted by Mayclem and plenty of dancing to live music provided by Pride & Joy SF.
Side by Side CEO Dr. Christine Garcia and Myers also took some time to share powerful messages about the importance of supporting youth mental health, joined by remarks from Irene M. Hunt School’s parents JD Schramm and Ken Daigle.
