Responding to the COVID-19 crisis, San Rafael Elks Lodge 1108 volunteers have been making a difference since mid-April providing nutritious and delicious to-go meals to those most in need, cooked up in our spacious Lodge Kitchen!

Since the St. Vincent de Paul (“Vinnies”) free dining room in San Rafael had to close due to COVID-19 restrictions, their program switched to providing take-out meals to over 25 people at breakfast and 250 people at lunchtime.

The Elks Kitchen Caresproject is gifting up to 150 of those brown bag lunches daily, from Monday to Thursday to Vinnies, at a cost of only $2.00 per meal. The very tasty lunch includes:

While the project was originally funded for 2,500 lunches with an Elks National Foundation Grant and from our Lodge Trustee funds, we are now raising additional funds to keep this valuable project running for as long as the need is here in Marin County. Please consider making a generous donation of any amount to keep Elks Kitchen Cares going and having its positive impact in our community. Every dollar donated goes directly into the program.
