From the beginning of the creation of fabric, life has necessitated the salvaging and repurposing of textiles. “Quilted” celebrates this history and deep, cultural legacy with handmade objects from 1800’s through today. Experience some personal stories, as well as the role of fiber in the development of civilization as we know it. Fiber drove world economies, power structures, political development of nations.
