InsectPalooza: The Art and Magical Science of Arthropods

This immersive, hands-on event merges art, nature, and science for an afternoon of fun (and education) for insect enthusiasts young and young at heart. Attendees will be able to interact with live animals from the Insect Discovery Lab and meet a variety of arthropods from around the world. Some not-to-be-missed guests include the Australian Walking Stick, Hissing Cockroach, and fan-favorite Giant African Millipede! Attendees will be able to make insect inspired art – guided by local artists Zoe Farmer and Jennifer Zee – get their faces painted, and (for a gastronomic experience) taste 3-Star Michelin Guide mealworm chocolate chip cookies.
