Marin Oratorio Sings Bach’s Magnificat and Handel’s Messiah (Part I)

Marin’s premier oratorio society, Marin Oratorio, presents two beloved choral masterpieces. Johann Sebastian Bach’s Magnificat in D major, brimming with splendor and jubilation, is a jewel among Bach’s sacred works. George Frideric Handel’s Messiah has long captivated audiences, and for good reason. The lush word painting, masterful counterpoint, and astonishing choral writing make this work his crowning musical achievement. The 100-voice Marin Oratorio chorus and orchestra will be joined by guest soloists Christa Pfeiffer, Jessica House Steward, Buffy Baggott, Lee Steward, and William Pickersgill. AND introducing Maestra Laura Wiebe.
