Mill Valley’ Annual History Walk: Gathering Places!

Join the Mill Valley Historical Society’s annual guided tour of gathering places in Mill Valley where people have come together over the decades for community events, entertainment, recreation, and more. This event happens every Memorial Day weekend where guests can visit historic sites along an easily walkable one-mile route from the vibrant downtown area surrounding the historic railroad depot to the quiet shaded spaces of Old Mill Park. Learn about how these spaces came to be and their role in creating and sustaining the community of Mill Valley. Local tour guides include Urban Carmel, mayor of Mill Valley, members of the Chamber of Commerce, and MV Historical Society members.

We are offering a regular Adult Tour, one mile, 90-minute, guided tour targeted for adults and older kids, and a FREE Youth tour which 2) our one hour Youth Tour, a special version of our guided tour geared towards elementary school aged children (children must be accompanied by an adult).

The 13 Adult Tours start every 30 minutes, first one at 9:00am. There are only two FREE Youth Tours: 9:45am and 12:45pm. All tours start at the Mill Valley Chamber of Commerce office at: 85 Throckmorton Avenue, Mill Valley. Service dogs only, please.
