Habitat Restoration
Saturday, May 13th 9:00am – 12:00pm
Lake Lagunitas Parking Lot/Pine Point

You know what they say: April showers bring May… habitat restoration events? We certainly agree! This May, join us on the watershed for a late-season broom pull at Pine Point. We will be pulling rain or shine, so please come prepared with the following:
– Layers, long pants, and athletic shoes (preferably with ankle support, as our site is off-trail and sloped);
– A refillable water bottle;
– And a positive attitude! We will cover any other necessary supplies like weed pullers, gloves, and snacks/water.
We provide volunteers with free parking passes.
Volunteers will be meeting at the Lake Lagunitas Parking Lot (link here) between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m. At 9:00 sharp, we will begin our safety orientation before walking to the pull site for some spring broom busting! RSVP encouraged but not required; family-friendly with parental supervision for ages 8+. Volunteers 16 years or older are welcome to join us with signed permission slips. For more information and to see our latest offerings, please visit www.marinwater.org/volunteer.
After the Habitat Restoration, volunteers are welcome to join for a guided Forest Health tour of Lake Lagunitas.
