Painted Bins Ribbon Cutting & Artwork Unveiling

Painted Bins, an affiliate of nonprofit Sustainable Marin, is holding an event to unveil the inspirational children’s art on the Painted Bins in Corte Madera Town Park, Corte Madera, from 4-5:30pm on Sunday, April 23rd. This important occasion will honor our student artists, who used art to express their concerns about the impact of food waste on the environment. The Painted Bins art is being displayed for one year on the compost bins in Town Park, and the bins will have new art next year. This is a perfect way to celebrate Earth Day weekend.

The event will be held on the lawn behind the Corte Madera Community Center, 498 Tamalpais Dr. in Corte Madera. Please bring chairs and/or blankets to sit on the lawn. Activities will include student speakers, an art tour, and an art activity. Please join us to see how Painted Bins creates environmental stewards in our communities, while fighting climate change by keeping food waste from the landfill and greenhouse gases from the atmosphere.
