Stern Grove Festival 2023

Join us at Stern Grove Festival as the oldest outdoor music festival in the San Francisco Bay Area makes a triumphant return for its 86th season this summer!
Surrounded by the breathtaking views of Sigmund Stern Grove’s natural amphitheater, fans of all ages will be treated to musical programming as eclectic and diverse as the city the locally-organized music festival calls home with ten consecutive Sunday afternoon concerts.
The admission-free concert series will host some of today’s most sought-after acts including rock legend Patti Smith, blues icon Buddy Guy, new wave pop star Santigold, electronic duo Bob Moses, country classic Lyle Lovett, the beloved San Francisco Symphony accompanied by funk group Lettuce, and many more throughout the summer season.
Closing out the festival season are The Flaming Lips at The Big Picnic, the Festival’s annual fundraiser that supports the Festival’s mission of providing admission-free concerts and arts education programs for the residents of the Bay Area.
Although admission to each concert will continue to remain free to the public, the nonprofit-led Festival’s online ticket reservation system will return via www.sterngrove.org to offer free passes on a first-come, first-served basis. Online reservations open up at 2:00 p.m. PST roughly one month prior to each concert.
