Talons & Friends at Cavallo Point

Join us once again for our thrilling family festival, Talons & Friends, celebrating majestic birds of prey! Hosted in collaboration with our friends from WildCare, the always popular event promises a day filled with fun, animal encounters, educational activities, delicious food, and live music!
Get up close and personal with some of WildCare’s Wildlife Ambassadors, including the Virginia Opossum, and the Desert Tortoise, learning about their unique characteristics and habitats. Explore the mobile nature exhibit, where kids can participate in hands-on activities, such as dissecting owl pellets and many more. Indulge in a delicious vegetarian cookout from Cavallo Point’s Executive Chef Michael Garcia, featuring a selection of grilled delights and salads alongside an array of craft beer, wine and lively music from Tim Weed & Friends. Plus a special menu just for kids!
The day culminates with a captivating demonstration from Native Bird Connections, featuring magnificent hawks and owls. Discover their hunting strategies, adaptations, and the vital role they play in maintaining the ecological balance.
