Join us for a conversation with author Jonah Paquette, Psy.D. about his new book, “Awestruck: How the New Science of Awe Can Make Us Happier, Healthier, and More Connected.” In this webinar, Dr. Paquette, a graduate of Palo Alto University’s Clinical Psychology Psy.D. program, explains what inspired him to write “Awestruck.” Plus you will learn about “awe” research, psychological and physical well-being benefits, and some tips on increasing awe in your daily life.
Recent research has shown that “awe” can improve our physical health, strengthen our social bonds, and become lastingly happier. Experiences of awe strengthen our immune system, improve our psychological well-being, and even change our brain in unique ways.
About the Author – Jonah Paquette, Psy.D.
Dr. Paquette wears two hats in his professional life. He is currently the Assistant Regional Director of Mental Health Training at a large HMO in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he oversees the mental health training programs across twenty medical centers in Northern California. And second, he provides training, consultations, and seminars on topics related to wellness, happiness, and reaching your full potential.
In addition to authoring “Awestruck,” Paquette has also published “Real Happiness,” a self-help book outlining seven proven paths to happiness and well-being; and “The Happiness Toolbox” which provides science-based exercises through interactive journaling to change your life.
