Lifehouse: Providing Essential Services

We are all adjusting to new ways of living and coping with uncertainty, and we know you are too. One thing that is certain at Lifehouse, is the commitment of the 400+ Direct Support Professionals. When everything else is closed, Lifehouse remains open to make sure that individuals with developmental disabilities are cared for every day.

The continued engagement, compassion, and caring that flow through the hands, hearts and minds of the Lifehouse Team of Direct Support Professionals is amazing. With day and work programs currently closed, the Lifehouse team is working overtime hours. That’s extended time away from their own families to uplift our community.

For the first time in 30 years Lifehouse was forced to cancel their primary fundraising event, Great Chefs & Wineries. Knowing how vital these funds are to continue providing services to the community, the Lifehouse Development Team quickly pivoted to a virtual experience. This includes a Premier Silent Auction (with LOTS of wine), a Sparkle Raffle with incredible earrings by San Francisco based Cresalia Jewelers, and a Gift of Life donation opportunity. This virtual experience has officially launched and it will run until April 18, 5pm PST.

Even as most are confined to their homes, more isolated from each other than ever before, we are also bearing witness, if only virtually — to acts of bravery and generosity that lift our spirits. Please join Lifehouse in their virtual fundraising efforts and help uplift our community in these challenging times.
