Klozet –– a trendy new boutique for women –– has just opened in Sausalito filling a much-needed gap in fashion-forward designs for the growing number of millennials in the area. Located at 30 Princess Street, the new shop is down a charming little ally in the middle of the block, in the heart of downtown Sausalito. A hidden gem, but well worth the search.
Owned and operated by the dynamic duo of Christine Caria and Ko Mathews (pictured), the hip new space has been totally renovated to give it a clean, light and airy, mid-century modern feel. Both women are former fashion models and bring decades of retail experience to their new venture having successfully operated seven other boutiques. Friendly and personalized service is their mantra.
You’ll find all your favorite designers – AG, Citizens of Humanity, Frank & Eileen, IRO, Paige Denim and Smythe to name just a few. These local fashion mavens have exclusive distribution in Sausalito for over 50 well-known designers. From upscale casual, every-day wear to bohemian chic, premium denim, both whimsical and sporty attire, as well as a nod to the rocker look and a bit of after hour elegance, this comfortable and welcoming shop offers a wide range of terrific fashion at equally great prices. The shop also has a small selection of stylish shoes and sandals, locally-made jewelry, accessories and Kai beauty products.
Open seven days a week, Klozet will be hosting a grand opening next Wednesday, June 15, from 4-6 p.m. There will be an official ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Vice Mayor, live music, complimentary wine provided by the local winetasting bar Bacchus & Venus as well as light appetizers. Come take a peek at this welcome addition to the Sausalito fashion scene. 415.331.5598, shopklozet.com
