At Frey Norris Gallery, Fred Levin and Nancy Livingston, chairs of the Film Society Awards Night Gala invited members of the host committee and friends of the San Francisco Film Society to a cocktail reception in celebration of the 50th San Francisco International Film Festival. The evening included a surprise announcement from Raham Leggat, Executive Director of the Film Society, who announced that Robin Williams would receive the Peter J. Owens Award at the Film Society Awards Night.
