We're Hiring: Digital Marketing Associate

Marin Magazine is looking for a multitalented, tech-minded person to join our team based in Sausalito, California. We offer a friendly, professional environment with an emphasis on work/life balance. Marin Magazine reflects the lifestyle of Marin, and we aim to keep our community connected through our monthly print magazine, online newsletters, website and calendar of events.

The ideal candidate will have an eye for details, as well as the big picture. This person will be responsible for maintaining our website, and working closely with the editorial team to engage our audience online, via social media and newsletters.

Key Responsibilities:
    •    Create, implement and monitor newsletters for Marin Magazine and Make it Better Media.
    •    Develop, analyze, report and optimize campaigns to increase email subscribers and audience participation with the goal to drive customer acquisition, maximize revenue, and improve retention.
    •    Respond to and provide content for social media channels for all publications.
    •    Analyze audience needs, competitive information and sales trends to assist sales team in maintaining existing digital products and creating new ones.
    •    Track ROI and profitability of marketing campaigns using performance metrics and make strategic decisions as needed.
    •    Collaborate with internal teams (sales and editorial) to optimize user experience for newsletters as well as the website.
    •    Evaluate and report on all aspects of digital marketing performance.
    •    Utilize analytics software to evaluate digital promotional efforts including website statistics, advertising analysis, social media, etc., and recommend/report optimization opportunities.

    •    Data-driven, obsessed with ad analytics and A/B testing, quantitative, comfortable with diving into data to optimize audience creation and ad delivery.
    •    Experience managing paid search, SEO, affiliate and display programs.
    •    Strong working knowledge of and experience with various web/advertising/digital technologies and platforms.
    •    Strong understanding of the online marketing/analytics landscape. Understand performance/direct response marketing, test design, and integrated concepts.
    •    Results-driven with exceptional detail and knowledge around metrics and ROI analysis.
    •    Strong working knowledge of and experience with various web/advertising/digital technologies and platforms.
    •    Must have strong analytical, data interpretation, and critical thinking skills. Good knowledge of grammar and an eye for editorial style a plus.
    •    Proficient in basic HTML, WordPress, spreadsheets (MS Excel, Google Sheets, Mail-Merge) MS Office, basic Photoshop and video editing skills.
    •    Social media scheduling / content management (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Hootsuite).
