They rocked jeans and cotton before wicking fabrics and technical softshells were mass produced. They paid $20 (or less) for a day pass at premiere mountains before those same spots grew into pricey behemoths. They taught you how to "pizza pie – french fry" down the mountain when you were just a snotty nosed tot in ski school. And these original shredders of gnarly powder were ripping it up long before Shaun Wite could even stand up.
This March the best and brightest athletes aged 50+ will throw down and compete in variety of events including alpine skiing or snowboarding, snowshoeing races and slalom competitions. Former athletes, olympic qualifiers and local standouts will take the snowy stage for the ever-growing and fast-selling out winter event.
There will be music, prizes, opening and closing ceremonies and a hot field of talent to enjoy (or compete against).
