Head to Tahoe for Oktoberfest

Fall is such a great time to visit Tahoe –– the aspen leaves range from green to golden, weather is great for hiking, fishing and paddling or simply lounging and the summer crowds are gone.

In addition to boasting award winning dining, independent shops, a new cinema and affordable lodging, the Tahoe City Downtown Association presents Oktoberfest on October 4.

Tahoe City Oktoberfest includes games, family activities, beer, brats, live music and it’s a dog-friendly event. Enjoy the splendor of Tahoe at Layton Park located outside of the Gatekeeper's Museum near Fanny Bridge. The lakefront grounds, part of California State Parks, are operated by the North Lake Tahoe Historical Society.

“Spending time in Tahoe City in the fall is magical! The lake, the people, the shops and restaurants are truly one of a kind,” shares Stacie Lyans, Tahoe City Downtown Association’s Executive Director. “It's almost a secret how amazing Tahoe City is throughout the fall, and it’s even better with this year’s Oktoberfest on the grounds of the Gatekeeper’s Museum.”
